The GMIT Falcons Rugby lads started off their season at blistering pace with an exciting away win to IT Sligo 20 - 14. While coach Sean Delaney commented that "It wasn't pretty" an away win for the clubs first away game since 2020 will be grabbed with two hands. The lads returned to the training field in preparation for their next test V TUS Midlands, this time a home game played at Galwegians RFC.

This game was a nail-biting affair that could have gone either way. The game finished a draw 21-21 which was no doubt the fairest result. GMIT Tries from Jack Gormley, Rex Aghabueze and Stephen Grenham while Nick Cusack's boot was on fire with 3/3 conversions.

GMIT now sit top of the table however TUS MIdlands and Sligo have yet to play.
